Organic Meal Plan

Will organic meal plan help you slim down?

Weight loss! I think this should be declared as a global epidemic in today’s world. From a teenager to an 80-year-old, not a single age group is devoid of an overweight problem and many a time, obesity eclipses our beauty. There are many reasons that lead to obesity either because of the diet one follows or due to the genetic makeup of a person. The only solution to this is to follow a healthy organic meal plan.

There’s no bigger nightmare for the ladies than gaining weight. Sure, maybe you put on a few during pregnancy or post-partum, that’s okay; now it’s time to shed those extra pounds. There is no shortage of information and internet lore on how to drop 10 pounds in 2 weeks and a bunch other lies. Don’t get sucked into the vicious cycle of cockamamie crash diets and fold-yourself-like-an-envelope workouts. They will leave you feeling like a failure when they inevitably fail to work.

You are what you eat.
This rings true all the way. So let’s incorporate an organic meal plan to achieve our goal. I found that subtle sustainable changes in your diet will go a long way in helping with the weight-loss agenda. Switching your produce to purely organic is the first step to going healthy. Organic fruits and vegetables appear smaller compared to the other fruits and vegetables on the same aisle. Rest assured the nutrient levels are higher in organic produce. The only difference is they lack all the harmful and calorie-packed growth chemicals jammed into non-organic produce.

Benefits of Organic Meal Plan.

Organic Meal Plan is packed with nutrients and fiber.

Fibre is great for optimal digestion and stimulation of a protein called leptin. Leptin is responsible for alerting the brain that your body has had enough to eat. Therefore, the more fiber you have in your meals the less frequent your hunger pangs will hit.
The biggest hurdle I struggle with when it comes to dieting is craving something sweet and crunchy.

Fresh organic fruits and vegetables are brimming with water and that so important crunch. Snacking on fresh fruit like Apples, Pears, Papaya, Lemon, Oranges, and Grapefruit kill the craving dead while rewarding you with Vitamins, Minerals, and Fiber.

• Do you know about organic superfoods? They earned their name from the intensity of nutrients, minerals, and fiber. Superfoods fall across all the food groups and you can make a balanced organic meal plan purely out of superfoods.

Protein superfoods include;

Salmon, black beans, quinoa, kidney beans, lentils, and garbanzo beans among others.

• Complex carbohydrates include oats, brown rice, nuts, legumes, avocado, cheese, and pumpkin just to mention a few.

Fats and Oils:

Fats and oils are also included in an organic meal plan as they have numerous benefits.

Organic Avacado, organic extra virgin coconut oil, ghee, Organic unsweetened peanut and almond butter, extra virgin olive oil, Omega3s all help the body function optimally and helps in weight loss if consumed in limited quantities.

Check this recommended organic oil

This oil is made from 100% natural extracted coconut milk, cold pressed and unrefined. It improves the immunity and keeps the metabolism healthy. You can use it for cooking, applying on the skin and hair too. It can also be used on infants as a natural moisturizer. I basically use it for everything, from oil pulling to oiling my hair once a week! It feels pure and light.

Vegetable superfoods are inclusive of

Broccoli, kale, Brussel sprouts, spinach, romaine lettuce, chard, collard greens, and bok choy among others. Green vegetables contain a plethora of nutrients which benefit our body in many ways. Leafy green vegetables are extremely rich in fiber and low in calories. They also contain rich vitamins, iron, and calcium which stimulate the metabolism significantly. See, making a super meal will be a breeze.

Let’s talk flavor. Healthy food does not equal flavorless food.

Getting chili peppers, jalapenos, and cayenne into your diet gives your meal a well-deserved kick while increasing your metabolism by oxidizing your layers of fat. Chili contains capsaicin that raises your internal temperatures. Ideally, you’ll be burning calories just by having chili.

Green Tea
Love drinking tea? Then, consume green tea as much as you can because it has many health benefits. Green tea contains a chemical named ‘epigallocatechin gallate’ which is an antioxidant and stimulates the nervous system and fat-burning process in our body.

Dry Superfoods
Acai berries, Chia seeds, Goji berries, wheatgrass, spirulina are all packed with nutrients helping and aiding in further weight loss.

Garcinia Cambogia a tropical fruit popularly known as the Malabar Tamarind is rumored to aid weight loss as it enhances satiety from a meal. This, of course, is still under investigation.

Now that we have straightened out our eating habits based on an organic meal plan, it’s recommended that we engage in exercises to help your body along.

Exercises

Exercises will help put all our nutrients and fiber to work while promoting flexibility and feelings of well-being. Walking, running, yoga and /or High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) will be that extra oomph your body needs to get you over to the healthy side.

Indulge yourself in simple yoga daily for 10 minutes and see the results.

Suryanamaskar (salutation to the sun)
Veerabhadrasana (the warrior pose)
Trikonasana (the triangular pose)
Purvottasana (upward plank)
Dhanurasana (the Bow Pose)
Setu Bandhasana (the bridge pose) are the various ‘Aasanas’ known to aid weight loss.

In my experience, losing weight has as much to do with mindset as it does with food and exercise. Putting yourself in the right frame of mind is half the battle. If you believe and work towards it, you will succeed!
