Organic Food For Long Term Sustainability

Organic Food

When I first said that I was switching to organic food, I shocked a few of my friends who somehow instantly connected it with going vegan! Others equated going organic to going on a diet!

Going organic has nothing to do with going vegan unless you make that choice of course. And it definitely is a diet, albeit a healthy one! Let’s put this in simple terms, going organic simply refers to choosing foods that are grown or processed naturally, without all those harmful additives and shortcuts that people take these days to make a quick buck. In simpler terms, it’s the way Mother Nature intended us to eat.

Did you know that organic foods can make you healthier, happier and even help you live longer? Yes, you heard that right! And here is why going organic is a much healthier alternative.

1. No Chemicals Or Antibiotics
Would you ever eat a teaspoon of pesticide? Or, much less, consume even a pinch of it? Well, no sane person would. This being the case, why would you want to eat food that’s literally coated with pesticides and harmful chemicals? In the quest for good produce, farmers use so many harmful chemicals. And let’s not forget the tons of antibiotics fed to poultry that inevitably gets into our bodies.
Switching to organic foods takes chemicals away from your daily diet and lets your body heal from years of chemical overload. It’s the easy way to cleanse your system and feel much better. And if you love your steaks, you’ll simply enjoy biting into naturally aged, juicy meat, free from growth hormones!

2. More Nutrients
Filling your belly is not the mere aim of a meal – you need to give your body the right balance of vitamins, minerals, micronutrients, and enzymes. Organically grown foods are packed with all the vital nutrients your body needs since better natural standards are maintained.

3. Better Taste
If you thought you’ve put your taste buds to their fullest use, think again. Organic foods are much tastier than their commercially processed counterparts and will leave you wondering how you ever managed without them before!
Switching to organic foods leads to healthy living and you end up feeling way better. So if you’ve made up your mind to do yourself and the environment a favor, make the switch to organic foods and feel the difference. And while you’re at it, convince your friends to make the change too. I know I did, and it feels amazing!
